About Courses - For CD Users

If you would like to receive a Certificate of Completion for a CD Course that you have, you must register at this Pacific EMPRINTS Online Courses web site and take a post test. Upon completion of the post test with a score of 80% or higher, the certificate will be available.

1. At the end of the CD course, the code for the CD Course will be provided, as shown at right. Please write it down; you will need this code to easily access a post test.
    
2. Register with this Online Courses web site from the "User Registration" page. All fields must be filled in.
    
3. After you successfully register, you will be led to the Welcome page. Read the brief instructions.
    
4. Go to the "Course Enrollment" page. Find the title of your CD Course. Then fill in the CD code that you wrote down in step 1 and click the "Enrolled" check box on the right.
   
   You may enroll in any other courses available as well.
    
5. When you have selected all the courses of interest to you, click "Save Changes."
    
6. Now the CD column will be updated as "Valid," and the status of course progress will be "Started" for the CD course, signifying you have not yet passed the post test for this course but you have already viewed the course on the CD. If you enrolled in any other courses, the columns for those courses should be blank.
    
7. Then, click the "My Course List" link in the top left hand corner.
    
8. On the "My Course List" page, you should see course titles with links for all courses in which you have enrolled. Also, "Take The Post Test" link should be available for the CD Course.
   
   In the future, you will be directed automatically to this page after you successfully log in so that you may select a course to view.
   
   
9. Click on the "Take The Post Test" link and the post test will appear. Choose an answer corresponding to each question and click the "Submit" button. Upon submission of answers, feedback and, if applicable, a link for more information will be given. You need 80% correct answers to pass the post test. Once you pass the test, click on the "Close" button to close it and you will not have to take the post test for the course again.
   
   
10. The "Completed" box on the right hand side will be checked and a link to the "Certificate of Completion" will be activated.
     
11. Click on the "Open" link in the Certificate column. It will open a certificate in a pdf file.
